At Avenue English, we encourage our students to express themselves in meaningful ways, using English not only as a tool for communication but also as a way to reflect on life’s bigger lessons.
In one recent Upper Intermediate class, students were asked to share their own thoughts and values — and their reflections were both thoughtful and inspiring.
From ideas about success, loyalty, and honesty to reflections on friendship, liberty, and curiosity, the classroom quickly filled with wisdom from different cultures and perspectives. Here are just a few of the powerful lines our students created:
“Success is turning hard work into results.”
“Family is love that never ends.”
“Honesty is the clear mirror in which we learn who we truly are.”
“Friendship is the bond that grows stronger through shared laughter and even tears.”
“Liberty is not only about bodily freedom, but also about feeling free.”
Activities like these remind us that learning a language goes far beyond grammar and vocabulary. It’s about finding your voice, sharing your ideas, and connecting with others in a deeper way.
At Avenue English, we are proud to see our students growing in confidence, not only in their English skills but also in their ability to express their values and beliefs with clarity and heart.
