Earlier this summer at St Clare’s Oxford, our Junior Young Leaders took on the challenge of designing solutions to global issues through creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
One team developed a sustainable soap dispenser – with an outer shell made of hard soap and liquid soap inside. Once the liquid runs out, the dispenser itself can still be used to wash your hands!
As part of the course, students explored the UN Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, and global citizenship. They designed and built prototypes, planned, filmed and edited adverts, and then presented their projects to peers and teachers.
Other inspiring projects included:
⚽ A football made from recycled materials
📱 A phone case created from recycled waste
🥣 Soup made from algae, sold in biodegradable containers
We are so proud of the creativity and leadership shown by these young changemakers. The future looks bright, and sustainable.
