British Summer School is delighted to announce a partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to deliver a brand-new football programme at our Uppingham Centre starting summer 2026.
This historic club, founded in 1882 by a group of schoolboys, is well supported and much loved. In 2019, they moved from White Hart Lane to the state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It is the largest club stadium in London and widely acclaimed as one of the best in the world. They are the current UEFA Europa League holders and this year they play in the UEFA Champions League.
Throughout its history, Spurs, as the club is commonly referred to, have been known for their free-flowing attacking football.
After careful consideration, we have decided not to offer formal English lessons on this course, and it is therefore available to boys and girls with A2 to C2 levels and to English speakers. This full immersion learning we feel best enables us to maximise the use of football time and to best simulate the learning that happens in a professional club.
All of us at British Summer School are excited about this new partnership and the many other things we are developing like our academic cooperation with Swansea University, which we will write about separately.
British Summer School’s partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club offers students of all abilities the opportunity to take part in high-quality coaching sessions, delivered by Spurs Football Development coaches in a fun and supportive residential camp environment at Uppingham School, allowing students to submerge themselves in daily coaching sessions, workshops and weekly excursions.
Spurs’ motto is Audere Est Facere or “To Dare is to Do”. What an adventure this will be. As the fans loudly chant in the stadium:
Come on you Spurs!
